EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 7~
"Kami!" I growled angerly.
"Oops." she said sarcastically, covering her mouth with a manicured hand. "I didn't know you were sitting there, Nallah."
"Oh yes you did." I said through clenched teeth.
Taking a step backwards, I grabbed the closest weapon in sight. An Elmers Glue bottle.
"Nallah, noooooo!" Mehgan exclaimed, trying to pull me back with all her might.
"Go Ahead." Kami said firmly. "Squirt me."
I hesitated and put the bottle down.
"See," she turned to Kara, Klaire, and the crowd of wanna-be's around her. "I knew she didn't have it in her."
And before she could even pop one bubble, or utter one cackle, she was squirted with a fresh glob of Elmers Glue, all over her flawless face and chartreuse cardigan.
"MRS. CHOOOOOO!!!!" she shrieked.
Kara and Klaire raced out the door in pursuit.
Through the white river of glue pouring down her spray-tanned face, I could see Kami's eyes bulge, and her fangs gleam.

Florals are so big this year…from delicate mini florals, to artistic oversized prints. In this month's edition of "Real Simple" magazine, there is even a five page spread, showing the best floral pieces around.
Many of the items are pretty expensive, costing hundreds of dollars. But after shopping around the Salt Lake Valley, here are some similar items, for a fraction of the cost!

A HEART OF A DAWG!
[video: Japanese dog with a heart-shaped birthmark]
People may wear their heart on a sleeve, but this adorable long-coated chihuahua puppy wears his heart on his back.
This male chihuahua was born in May with a perfect heart shaped marking in his fur. His owner has named him Heart-Kun.
His owner was stunned when she saw the heart marking on his back because she had never seen anything like that before.
What a big heart for a little dog!!!

He's sooo cutielicious! :) I dunno how this really goes along with fashion of any kind, but ohhh well. I guess Nilla and I just have OCD. [Obsessive Cuteness Disorder!] hahaha.

OMG! Invisible car!!!
I saw this on the forum, and thought it was awesome! :)
"Sara Watson, who is studying drawing at the University of Central Lancashire (Uclan), took three weeks to transform the car's appearance.
She created the illusion in the car park outside her studio at Uclan's Hanover Building in Preston.
The car is now being used for advertising by the local recycling firm that donated the vehicle."

Chanel Spring/Summer 2009 Pts. 1 and 2
[above: Part One]
[below: Part Two]
[I don't know if you see those. Uploading Ytube videos to here is tricky....]
I've decided to post some comments from Youtube to show some people's opinions.
i didnt like this season too muchi think karl went a little to far with his Japanese anime inspirations(I know that comment sounds crazy but when i used to watch anime i remember a lot of these shapes he's been using lately even the hair and the makeup has some resemblance to the genre....this was not his season with Chanel and Fendi...however I did his collection for his brand
Coco Chanel hasnt been in charge of the house of chanel since the 70's when she died Karl lagerfeld is a genius and Chanel has a wide range of customers aging from 18 - 80 so karl has to create something for a wide age range some collections are young some are older
lol...ummm Karl has been designing for channel for a very long timeand the house has been very successful i think he designs wonderfully and even though there are some collections that im not a fan of chanel still remains one of the biggest fashion houses in the world...and thats thanks to Karl Lagerfeld
Waaaait a second there.... Who exactly is Karl Lagerfeld??? [what probably some of you are wondering...] Lets See...
Karl Lagerfeld (born Karl Otto Lagerfeldt; September 10, 1933) is a German-born fashion designer and artist based in Paris, France. He has collaborated with on a variety of fashion and art related projects, most notably as head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel. Lagerfeld helms his own label fashion house, as well as the Italian house Fendi, both of which produce luxury fashion items (including perfumes and accessories).
[Thanks to.... Wikipedia!]
Although you probably wouldn't walk outside in something like that.... its still good for--- uhh, the brain! [yeaa thats it!]
Lets COMPARE it to a show from 1996. [not Chanel, but Dolce & Gabbana]
Hmmmm, so there are a few differences I presume.. :)
Trends have magically come "back from the past", and are seen everywhere present day. Today we will examine three of these such trends.
"The 80’s.... Neon was all the rage, and shoulder pads were not only reserved for quarterbacks, but for office ladies. And we saw that in 2008, the 80’s trends have made their way back into the national consciousness."
Okay, so at the moment the 80's are in:
"Ah, remember the carefree summers spent running around in the back yard catching rocks in the bottoms of your sparkly pastel jelly shoes? Did you have a pair in every color they sold? Little girls need cute shoes in every color, just like they will when they grow up!"
Okay, so "Jelly shoes" are now back from the 80's and 90's believe it or not. Try finding them in the 1$ section of target, at the local Payless, or online, and you may just find a pair in your size. Surprisingly confortable, I am relieved that finally something COMFORTABLE is "in" for a change. I sure hope this lasts! Try your best to keep the pebbles out, and you'll be set.
THE 8o's AND THE 09's COMPARISONS
"in" during 1980:
*Cotler pants – jeans that had snap pockets that would fold over exposing a different color.
*zebra club oversize sweatshirts (maybe its only a west coast thang)
*la bands (black bracelets Madonna's wearing (now sell it at hot topic)
*sling back usually by spirit
*Esprit laundry bags
*guess or jean jacket (usually in light pink or blue jean and or white)
*door knocker earrings –gold bamboo
*pink lip stick
*wearing non matching earrings (pretty n pink)
*pumps (all colors)
*large buttons or large burgundy tan striped outfits w/ a flip over collar
*playboy bunny sweatshirts, t-shirts etc
*putting letters or your name or tag on the back of t-shirts or member only jackets
*Sailor hats and or sailor like blouses
*Mob like hats
*Zute suits pants w/ suspenders
*button type earrings and or odd shaped/dice earrings/metal or metallic earrings
*kamikaze shirts that had sleeves that would zip off like a t-shirt length or like a muscle shirt
*Japanese earrings or clothing w/ Japanese characters on them
*Biker shorts or spandex
*Wearing biker shorts under mini skirts
*lace jeans on one side/jeans w/ different color front & backs
"In" during 2009:
*Baggy Sports league wind-breakers
*bird feather inspired accessories
*Spray tans [is this a MD thing?]
*Brunettes [Hair dying]
We have really gotten far from the past, but does that mean it will all change in a matter of time? It is always possible. I mean, Shoulder Pads for the Working class AND Football players? Cowabunga!!!! Here comes a wave from the past!
I know, I know.. I am a terrible blogger! My posts are beginning to get P-I-T-I-F-U-L, because of all the end-of-the-school-year work I am required to do! First of all, if you get bored by the lack of SMB posts at anytime, check out all 4 of my new story, "Once upon a Brass Needle" @ http://www.brassneedle.blogspot.com/. (:
Yes, SMB Has these new picture ma-bobs, which are in place of the bolded titles I usually put for different topics. Hurray for organizationnnnn! :D

In "Fashionness", or today called, "Trends"... we will be discussing some of the new Spring - Summer '09 trend predctions!
[---- from: http://www.fashiontrendsetter.com/]
It will be a season high on bright colors, much fluorescent.
Claude Vuillermet, stylist of LE CUIR A PARIS says: "For this resolutely optimistic season, color takes centre stage and joins forces with materials. Impossible to predict which will be champion: blues are playing across all tones; greens are insistent; yellows are intensifying; terracotta, lobster and mandarin persist; colored neutrals calm things down. White covers all surfaces, black and red outline contours. Pink insists despite predictions of its imminent demise each season. A summer personified by a character whose hesitations and moods, we have chosen to relay, are described through 6 color stories."
-Big shades and oversized handbags will be replaced by...actually, I don't think they're going anywhere. But alternative styles will abound.
-Designer duds will be more discrete, or so I hope.
-Individualism will flourish as more media outlets provide more information and provide a forum for more points of view.
-Shoe styles will become more practical. Yay!
-Dark denim will continue to reign supreme as the preferred jean of choice.
-More ladies will rock leggings for day and night, oh yes!
-Black will be big as fashionistas look to save money on fashion and still look stylish.
-Dry cleaning will be out, green cleaning (and washing stuff at home) will be in.
-Street style will continue to soar.
-Kate Moss will still be super. And modeling.
-Polyester and pleather will be cool as more eco-conscious fashionistas adopt a vegan/vegetarian outlook on life.
-Thrifting and consignment shop sales will continue to climb until the economy stops sinking.
-Black-and-white - this retro inspired style always looks sophisticated and eye-catching at the events. This year expect occasional bows and bow-ties elements ala Zac Pozen.
- Metallics - everything including gowns, clutches and shoes. Unfortunately this trend is still going strong on red carpets, and I must admit it always does the work of attracting cameras to the spark.
- All black gowns - we've seen this trend last award season with stars like Jennifer Garner (remember the notorious Oscar de la Renta?). Flattering-any-body black gowns will probably be favorites again, in new one-shoulder or asymmetric shapes.
- Bold shoes - you've heard by now that shoes are the new bags, and we are about to see many of them attracting more attention than anything on the red carpet. In addition to all-stars favorites Jummy Choo and Christian Louboutin expect candy-colored Cavalli and Zanotti heels.
- Hard case clutches - patent, metallic or stone and jewels encrusted, this year the hottest clutches come in hard cases that look great against sleek satin or silk.
Ah-bviously, you may need to ad-lib to fit your price range, but Hey! Don't you love it when you know what's "in"?
