MAIN CHALLENGE 4: The Collage Challenge

Your challenge for this week is to make an art set, but not the kind of art set you would expect! For this challenge, everyone is making a collage. I know I'm going to get a lot of people asking, what's a collage? It's an art set that isn't just a photo with textures on it... it's a collection of images, text, drawings, whatever else you want. Here are some examples. :)


If anyone else still has questions about what you're supposed to do, then post them here. :)
Have fun, and be creative! I look forward to seeing what fun collages ya'll come up with. Take risks :)
By the way, this is an ART challenge. Fashion sets won't be accepted. Your entries for this challenge are due MONDAY night at MIDNIGHT EST.

BONUS CHALLENGE 4: Primarily

The world is full of many different colors. But all these colors originate from 3 colors... the primary colors, RED, BLUE, and YELLOW. So your bonus challenge for this week is to make a fashion set where the outfit is made up of only the 3 primary colors!
All the parts of the outfit that you WEAR, like the shirt/skirt/pants/jewelry/bag/shoes, must be either red, blue, or yellow.
You DON'T have to use all 3 colors... but you can't use any colors other than those 3, if that makes sense. :) All other items, such as photos/background items/perfumes etc. don't have to be in the 3 primary colors. But the point is for the outfit to be made up of those colors.

This is a FASHION challenge. No art sets will be accepted. Your entries for this challenge are due WEDNESDAY at MIDNIGHT EST.

One more thing gals... I'm going to Cheery's next week, and I'm leaving Thursday. So if I'm late with the results, sorry, but I'll try to get them up while I'm there.

GUPS WEEK 2 CHALLENGE

Week 2!

MAIN CHALLENGE 2: Emotional
Each of you will be assigned an emotion, and must make an art set based on that emotion. Part of the judging this week is on how well your set reflects your emotion, so do your best! No other restrictions on this other than that it must reflect your given emotion.
This is an ART challenge. No fashion sets will be accepted for this challenge. This is also the mandatory challenge. If you don't do it you won't be allowed to continue in the competition.
These assignments are done by me, hopefully in keeping with everyone's skill levels. I tried really hard to make them fair.

Make a FASHION set centered around a WEBSITE. It can be any website, as long as it's appropriate of course. This will be fun. No other restrictions other than that your outfit must involve a website. If your set reflects your chosen website really well, I'll love it even more. This is a FASHION challenge. No art sets will be accepted for this challenge. This is an optional challenge, but you will get bonus points/prizes for winning!Happy contest-ing, good luck everyone in week 2! I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. Pick colors that will either match the majority of your outfits, or that show off your skin color/tone. Great Combinations:

Tan skin- oranges, corals, pinks, ...

Pale skin- Reds, Burgundy, deep purple, ...

Dark Skin- clear coat, Blues, ...

Case closed. I found the dress.

A few days ago, I posted about my trouble finding an online store with the perfect dress for my friend's Birthday. Well, I got so fed up with online shopping, that I dragged my Mom out to the mall, and went to delias in person. Sure enough, the dress I had been drooling over on the web, was there before my eyes, in my exact size! I jumped for joy, and paid 34$ for this beauty:

So there goes all my troubles! I have the perfect dress, and stole a pair of silver heels from my Mom's closet. I am such a klutz, though that while trying on a pair of black heels, I fell right over, and the heel part of one shoe stabbed me in the ankle. I am definitely not what you call graceful. Now, all I need to worry about is not falling down the stairs on "opening night" and breaking my neck. :)
