Sweats and a Tee-shirt aren't enough

*sigh* Ever have that feeling where you tried so hard to find something special for a extremely special even, say The First Day of Eighth Grade 2009, and you just couldn't no matter how many stores I went through, coupons you clipped, babysitting dollars you've saved? Well, we're in the same boat. I spent from 10:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. combing through my local mall desperate for The Outfit to appear before my eyes. Sadly, at the end of the day, all I ended up with was a bottle of Dancing Waters [or is it Waters Dancing...?] Bath and Body Works perfume. [insert very, very sad frowny face here].
Sure, I saw countless cute and affordable ensembles in my size, but the problem is that the clothes I pick out from the others as adorable, end up being too "Grown up" for me. For example, why would I go to Middle School wearing a pencil skirt, and cheetah print silk blouse with polished gold bangles, while the ideal 8th grade outfit is a pair of sweats and a Hollister logo tee. *another sigh*
My friends are beginning to notice my obsession with jewelry, and let me confess that the reason is namely because these are the only things I can use to dress up a pair of Sweats and Hollister tee, to make it fill my fashionista ego. Thus, I honestly cannot wait to grow up and grow into this ego of mine. Okay, I know when I'm older I will only wish to be younger, but that's then, and this is... now.
Any of you have this problem?
Yep, that was another one of my many rants. Ignore me if you choose.

All that in a Recession [Neon, Neon, Neon!]

Gosh, am I a bad blogger or what?
With my Mom's surgery and such, I have been running around like a crazy person for the past two weeks, and somehow dropped blogging from my juggled computer-life. :P
Well, I am back {I sure hope so!} and brought some new SMB Polls and new topics along with me!


Fashion/Recession{ista} Flair
Neon Colors

With the recession in full swing . . . .
Stores have been trying to rake in the cash by constantly bringing new trends back from the ashes. One of these trends would be, *drum roll pleaseeee* NEON COLORS.
This trend is one that I am quite fond of lets say. Mainly because it's easy to wear both fashionably, economically, and recession-omically. haha. Plus, since I am more of a Fashionista at heart, AND most of the clothes that I DESIRE, A) have a pricetag with too many zeros to tally up, or B) Three sizes too big. But, it is extremely easy to stroll into Delia*s and pick up a dozen tank tops in electric, neony colors and pair them with a pair of white, or dark washed jeans.
So, that's where most of us are left. If you were given the chance to wear crazy colors with comfort AND style, wouldn't you pounce on it?

We have two new polls, a real step-up to our "Who Wore it Better" ones.
I was thinking of ways to get the coveted 20 followers {ooh look how far we've come over the summer!} that I had desired from the start, and polls earned it's way to the top. I saw the votes I had gathered with the WWIB polls, and I decided to have new, fresh polls every week, month,.... urgh. I will just post a new poll every now and then, okay? Just take a moment to let me know you all are out there and vote in them, okay?

A New Playlist for SMB!

Gosh, I change my taste in music like I change my blog templates! So, like the polls, I have moved on to a FASHIONISTA FRIENDLY playlist of songs. I don't usually like curse words in song, but they are so discreet, I think we will find a way to you know, live? haha.
Most of the songs are inspired from my FAVE movie at the moment, Devil Wears Prada. I treated myself to a movie night last week, and what did I see in the "Free Movie" section? Exactly what I was looking for in a movie.
The last two tracks inspired a poll which you will have to see AND listed to yourselves!

Fashionista of the Month


For July, our Fashionista of the Month, is non other than Emma Watson. This is a bit about her from a Google source:


Emma Watson was born in Paris, France to Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, English lawyers who lived in France at the time; she has a younger brother named Alex. She lived in Paris until age five, then moved with her mother and brother to Oxford, England.

Watson attended The Dragon School, a private preparatory school, until June 2003, when she moved to Headington School, a private all-girls school in Oxford. In June 2006, Watson sat GCSE examinations in 10 subjects, achieving eight A* and two A grades. She is studying for her Advanced Subsidiary (AS) levels in Dance, Art and English literature.

Watson is an avid sports player and her musical interests (as of Spring 2005) include singing, hip hop, blues, and classic rock, including Eminem, Eric Clapton, U2 and Nelly Furtado.

She has said that she feels her celebrity status is partly responsible for her not having a boyfriend, stating:

"Guys are either intimidated by me, or they have defences up...."

Missed Me?

Due to Vacation and stuff, I have been M.I.A. lol.
But-- My blog is still up and running, and once I recover my Writers Block, there WILL be amazing things on the way.
As for Faboo, there are also new things coming up! My Florida trip has been compressed into a 7 minute video, shown below.
